As part of your course, you may complete BUSN13004 – Professional Practice and Experience, a unit designed to help you apply your knowledge and skills in a real-world setting while developing the graduate capabilities expected in your profession.

YOUR EXPERIENCE OPTIONS
WIL PLACEMENT
A WIL placement provides valuable workplace experience where you can apply your discipline knowledge, develop professional skills, and gain insight into your chosen industry.
Key Information
- Students are responsible for sourcing their own placement
- All placements must meet the unit requirements and be approved by the WIL team before you can commence
- A minimum of 60 placement hours is required
- Placements are typically completed between Weeks 3–11 of the teaching term
- Hours may be completed flexibly (for example, one or more days per week or as a full-time block), depending on the host organisation and your circumstances
- Assessment information is available on the unit Moodle site
GLOBAL EXPERIENCE
CQUniversity Global offers a range of international and virtual learning experiences that allow students to develop professional and intercultural skills while engaging with global partners.
Students interested in this option can explore available opportunities through CQUniversity Global and register their interest by emailing cquglobal-out@cqu.edu.au
RESEARCH PROJECT
Students may choose to complete a research project in place of a WIL placement or Global Experience. Further information about this option is available on the unit Moodle site.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
While every effort is made to support students in completing their preferred experience, a WIL placement or Global Experience cannot be guaranteed. Where these options are not available, students will complete the Research Project to meet the unit requirements.
